Q: I have just put on fake nails from CVS and I took them off yesterday. The nail glue is still all on my finger nails. How do I get it off?
A. Step 1 Buff the area with a nail file to remove the outer layer of glue. Rinse with warm water.
Step 2 Soak the area in nail polish remover containing acetone. Soak for skin up to 10 minutes. Rinse the area with warm water and repeat, if necessary.
Step 3 Take a break from soaking the skin if it feels uncomfortable. Wash with warm, soapy water and resoak in a few minutes. If your skin is still irritated, massage Petroleum jelly onto the affected area as an alternative. Rub the Petroleum jelly onto the glue and allow it to remain on the skin for 10 minutes. Wash off the product using warm, soapy water.
Step 4 File away any glue residue using an emery board. Lightly sand the area to remove all glue.
Step 5 Do not force the skin to pull apart from the glue. Forcing skin apart can damage and tear your skin, so use nail polish remover.
How do I get fake nail glue off of my natural nails?

A. put your hands in a bowl of hot water and then keep them in for 10 to 15 minutes then take them out and use the acetone polish remover… if you dont have any, buy some!
Is there an alternative for nail glue?
Q: I have fake nails, but my best friend accidently took both nail glues home! Is there another option I have to use for nail glue? (only serious answers please!)
A. Yes, but they all require you to go to the beauty supply store or drug store to get them. If you going to the store, just might as well buy more nail glue.
If you have tape (better to have double side one), you can put that on before you get to the store.
Are there any better alternatives for fake nails than acrylic?
Q: I have a bad habit of biting my nails. In an effort to help them grow, I sometimes get acrylic nails. Are there any other options that are better for my real nails rather than acrylic?
A. Yes! Try glue-on fake nails. They’ll last for 10 days or longer and when they come off they won’t harm your nails a bit.
My favorite brands are Broadway Nails ( http://www.broadwaynails.com or http://www.kissusa.com ) and Nailene ( http://www.nailene.com ).
The nails are availible at Walmart, Walgreens, K-Mart, Boots, Target, and a lot of other pharmacies and such.
